April Consumer Prices   - May. 14, 2004


According to today's release from the Labor Department, the Consumer Price Index rose 0.2% in April. Excluding the food and energy components, the CPI was up 0.3%.

Year over year, the CPI rose 2.3%. Over the three months ended April, it was up at an annual rate of 3.9%. (All numbers are based on seasonally adjusted data.)
