"The" Handover   - Jun. 28, 2004

Most everyone was expecting stepped-up terrorist activity on Wednesday, on the occasion of the "handover" of power from the United States to the interim Iraqi government. While the insurgents no longer have the 30th to commemorate for this specific reason, to think they won't continue to do their thing would be exceptionally foolish. In fact, with the relatively large number of hostages currently in terrorist hands, I would think the hostages' future just took a very distinct turn for the worse.

The combination of quarter-end machinations and misplaced euphoria over events in Iraq have world stock markets pumped, but probably not for long. Therefore, what a wonderful opportunity this presents to investors who want to increase their cash positions!
