Preview: Including "Is Greenspan getting ready to leave?"   - Mar. 1, 2004

There are a few items in particular I want to tackle in the next couple to few days, to wit:

(1) Bringing everyone up to date on where the model bond portfolio stands after Friday and today's T-Bond short sales, which complete the current program.

(2) In what may represent the week's piece de resistance, I want to examine the possibility that Alan Greenspan is about to withdraw from consideration for a fifth term as chairman of the Federal Reserve. "Preposterous," you say? Maybe but maybe not; I think the possibility may be somewhat greater than is generally believed at the moment.

(3) I also want to update some political thinking after tomorrow's "Super Tuesday" round of Democrat primaries (plural) and caucus (singular) -- the caucus state being Minnesota.

(4) I made excellent progress in several key areas last week with regard to the coming website. I'll also try to get something out on this by week's end.
