Stocks: A Very Brief Update - Aug. 23, 2004

I'll get something more detailed out later today or tomorrow. However, a glance at some of my more important technical work over the weekend strongly suggested that last week's spurt in stock prices was heavily driven by options expiration. The expiration's residual effect may leave a little to go on the upside, but for those folks who have been waiting for better prices to raise additional cash, I would not push my luck too far.
