January Employment Data - #1 - Feb. 6, 2004

Included in today's employment report were significant benchmark revisions to the Labor Department's payroll survey. Labor has been slow in getting these posted, so my synopsis will be out later that I had expected. Generally speaking, however, I would say that this morning's report is weaker than is currently being represented on CNBC, Bloomberg, etc. (What else is new?)
