At 8:30 AM (ET), the Commerce Department announced that the US trade deficit during November widened to a record $60.3 billion, $4.3 billion higher than October's revised red ink.

According to this morning's release from the Commerce Department, the US deficit in goods-and-services trade rose to $60.3 billion in November, $4.3 higher than October's revised shortfall (revised up by $0.5 billion). According to Commerce, November imports were $155.8 billion, versus exports totaling $95.6 billion. (The net does not add to $60.3 billion due to rounding.) The revised October figures were: imports = $153.8 billion, exports = $97.8 billion.
