|
Introduction
Here's something different as well as timely for GRA readers. William C. Fordham heads C&S Grain Market Consulting, and I am highlighting his latest newsletter, "Thoughts For Week 17." I recently had the good fortune of a telephone conversation with Bill, who is a new subscriber to John Williams' research material.
Bill is a man of deep faith who also has deep roots in the farming business. He is a retired grain farmer from Bureau County in the heart of the Corn Belt in North Central Illinois. In addition to specializing in corn and soybean futures, he has a weekly series of thoughts he shares that relate to life and commodities.
Bill covers a broad spectrum with his thoughts, sharing insights about what is happening in the geopolitical situations around the world and how these unfolding developments might impact life and commodities in general.
Since energy policies, prices and production trends are so critical to everyone from a global perspective and are now becoming so closely involved in renewable energies made from corn and soybeans, Bill tries to provide some perspective on where the world might be headed as time unfolds.
Bill's thoughts are not limited to commodity values and price trends, however. He tries to put it all together so the reader has a good understanding of how everything fits in time and how it might relate to the unfolding history and the end times. He encourages readers to stay focused, to have hope, to be aware of opportunities, and to develop faith in God to provide an anchor in these very challenging and unique times the world finds itself in the 21st century. It is a different approach and makes for interesting reading.
I point out, of course, that Bill Fordham's opinions are not necessarily those of Gillespie Research Associates. Access the home page of his website at the link below. When there, you will quickly spot the link to "Thoughts For Week 17." --Doug Gillespie
