2014 FINANCIAL REPORT OF THE U.S. GOVERNMENT

It turns out that the U.S. Treasury did issue its 2014 Financial Report of the U.S. Government on February 26th, the Treasury just has not posted the report or related detail on its usual web pages, as of the publication of this Note.  For those interested, here is a link to the PDF version of the report, as received from the Treasury:

In the process of reviewing the statements (there still are comparative issues versus 2013, with the debt ceiling and government shutdown), I shall offer some comments on Friday, with a separate Commentary reviewing statements in greater detail next week.  The next regular Commentary, scheduled for Friday, March 6th, otherwise will cover the February Employment and Unemployment Numbers, and the January trade deficit and construction spending.
